This course is designed to help you teach writing at the secondary level. Throughout the course you will reflect on both your own writing process and your methods of teaching writing. You will also simulate classroom teaching and evaluate your teaching and that of others. As you read professional journals and books, you will analyze and apply theories of teaching composition in the English classroom. The ultimate aim is to enable in you the competence and ability to develop lessons and units to become effective teachers of writing at the secondary level.
