This course focuses on the development of advanced competencies in Standard English, particularly Caribbean Standard English. It builds on the skills already developed in the CSEC English A Curriculum. It also attempts to develop an appreciation of the linguistic diversity of the Caribbean, which includes small and large states and English, French, Dutch and Spanish speaking countries. This subject also explores the implications of this diversity for social, cultural and economic transactions.
