The Writing Process will provide students with the theoretical, practical, and technological abilities they would need to write successful assignments. It employs methods that will help them become more confident, scholarly writers. It will teach them how to organize written assignments, communicate ideas in an academic voice, do research, maintain academic integrity, and master the APA reference style's finer aspects.
This course will also help students to improve their ability to write effectively and consistently, as well as equip them with the study and research skills they will need to get the most out of all of their College courses. It begins with an orientation and will engage students in an online assessment quiz to measure their ability to do college-level writing.
There are six (6) units, which will cover the following topics:
1. Structural elements of an assignment
2. Formatting
3. Writing conventions
4. Sentence structure & paragraph writing
5. The writing process
6. Academic integrity

The sessions will include engaging presentations that will allow for interactive learning, thereby stimulating thoughts and understanding.
