Investigators are reviewing doorbell footage and security cameras from nearby homes showing a vehicle traveling at high speeds. The police car carrying Blades and Clough was not part of that initial chase; they were simply in the area when the catastrophe struck.
This incident marks a grim milestone. It is the first time in fourteen years that multiple police officers have died on duty during the same incident in the region.
