This subcategory contains the courses for the Department of Liberal Arts, for the Academic Year 202324.

This course introduces students to the ethical approaches that are necessary when utilizing primary or secondary research material for use in academic essays or other work that require the referencing of literature from relevant sources.

The course therefore aims to equip students with the skills needed to identify relevant and appropriate source material, as well as how to use these sources to strengthen their work without violating ethical standards. This course does not equip students with the ability to design and conduct research, analyse data and use that information to make recommendations to influence change in their communities. Consequently, it does not serve as the basis to complete the requirements of the Caribbean Studies, Sociology, Geography, and other social science SBA’s, as such skills will be learned in the respective courses.

This outline is subject to change as the Antigua State College Administration sees necessary.
