Course: CHE102: Chemistry Unit 1 - 2
Academic Year: 202324
Lecturer: Trudy Jackson
In this course, students delve more deeply into the factors that influence the behaviours of chemical reactions. Physical Chemistry concepts such as energetics, rates and equilibria, as well as Inorganic periodic trends of elements are studied in depth with a view to enabling chemists to not only understand, but also both predict and control the extent and speed of chemical reactions for the betterment of human society. Students are expected to master all essential concepts and calculations of these fundamental topics. Students continue to be introduced to relevant essential laboratory equipment and skills and are expected to adhere to all lab safety rules and regulations.
