COM101:1: Communication Studies Unit 1

This course focuses on developing advanced competencies in Standard English, mainly Caribbean Standard English. It builds on the skills already developed in the CSEC English A Curriculum. It also attempts to create an appreciation of the linguistic diversity of the Caribbean, which includes small and large states and English, French, Dutch, and Spanish-speaking countries. The subject also explores the implications of this diversity for social, cultural, and economic transactions.
